THEIR STORY.

The youngest of three children, Ronen was always the quiet type. His older brother and sister decided on the games they'd play, the tv they'd watch. When he was in trouble they'd fight his fights for him, when he was torn between choices, they'd tell him what to pick. Growing up in an environment like that, it was easiest for Ronen to find himself in the quiet places, in books and study and science.
He excelled in high school, got his pick of colleges, went on to med school and distinguished himself with honors, did his internship at Maine Medical, eventually earning his PsyD in Psychiatric Care. Ronen found himself so lost in the haze of his studies that it felt like first contact with the Architects and the first few years of their influence happened all at once. Given his field of medicine, he was wary of the implants, distrustful of anything that claimed to fundamentally change a person with no adverse affect. When the Fall came, he was forcibly implanted.
His time under the implant's influence still feels like a haze for Ronen, years of blurred memories that he still has trouble processing in chronological order all this time later. The times that stick out the most were the brief periods where his implant began to malfunction before repair.
His medical experience saw Ronen working alongside memory clinics frequently, and that was how he first came into contact with Dislinked… although he didn't realise it until his implant began to show signs of malfunction again and they swept him up into the process of UnVeiling.
Ronen has been with Dislinked for twelve years now, enough for his time with the resistance movement to feel 'normal' and like his home. If he dwelled on that too much, he might find it disquieting. …which is why he throws himself into his work, instead.
